Walk-in Recruitment at MTA Police Department
On Saturday, May 6, the police department of the Maryland Department of Transportation’s Maryland Transit Administration will be conducting testing for its next class of entry-level recruits. For the first time in its history, the MTA Police will allow persons interested in a career in law enforcement to walk-in and take the test. There’s no advance paperwork or pre-screening that is required. Testing will be conducted at MTA Police Headquarters located at 4701 Mt. Hope Drive in Baltimore starting at 9 a.m. Interested candidates should allow roughly six hours to complete the written, physical and interview exams plus an oral interview. Candidates are encouraged to wear athletic attire and to bring a valid I.D. To qualify, candidates must be a U.S. citizen, have at least a high school diploma or GED, have a valid driver’s license, must be 21 prior to graduation from the police academy and must not have committed or been convicted of a felony or serious misdemeanor.
